Cooper's Island, Offering

12X16, oil, 2015

I have good memories of beginning this painting on location.  It was bit of a stormy day with light flashing through the clouds illuminating the crystal clear water.  The sunlight and clouds darted around one another.  But what attracted me to this scene is that line of reddish brown Sargasso seaweed that arcs back and along the left side of the beach.

This painting is on display at Bermuda Society of Arts in their member show.  It's a pleasure to think of it being   there.   I appreciate all the BSOA does to encourage local artists!
