The Rock and The Wave, 2012, oil, 24X16
Last week I had fun watching the waves crash up on the rock at Chaplin Bay, Bermuda. The contrast was exhilarating. Maybe a more refined version could emerge from the studio at another time, but this plein air one captured the force of the splash and the weight of the rock just as I had hoped.
